Utilizing change to build strength and resilience

Leadership transition offers a rare opportunity to step back, assess operations and reorganize. The organization may be dealing with serious conflicts, confusion or financial problems. Attracting and selecting a new, competent leader will take careful planning.

My background includes more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership and management experience with a unique background working with individuals, communities and organizations facing crisis or trauma. This experience translates into the ability to successfully navigate through difficult issues and facilitate a positive outcome that can set a nonprofit organization on course for its next chapter.

I have worked with small and large, local and national organizations and with hundreds of volunteers and key stakeholders. Helping nonprofits succeed is a passion – I am committed to ensuring that your period of interim management results in strengthening your organization in order to move forward with confidence and clarity.

“If we were to find ourselves in a similar situation in the future, I would not hesitate to hire Louise as our interim executive director. Her calm yet firm approach helped us through some very rough waters, and she is leaving the organization in a much better position for our incoming executive director.”

Marilyn Fowler, Board President Lindsey Wildlife Museum

“In my role as a program officer of a major community foundation, I worked with many nonprofit executives. Louise stood out, because she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, is gifted at building key relationships, and excelled at program development and proposal/grant development. She was particularly adept at working with funders and other community partners to build the image and sustainability of her organization.”
